Feature request - clear cache storage

I find tiny reader to hold quite a bit of internal storage.  About 2-3gb
Any chance of a setting to clear the internal cache?

It's probably my most used app.

Re : Feature request - clear cache storage

Hi,

The app doesn't store any data, so I don't know why it takes 2-3gb on your device (except if there is a memory leak).
I use my App all the day too, but it occupied less than 200Mo.

Re : Feature request - clear cache storage

I'm not sure.  It shows up in the storage section of iOS.

Re : Feature request - clear cache storage

Just checked. Same data, iPhone = 200Mo, iPad = 1Go.
It's the same app (universal app) so I don't understand why the app need 5x memory on the iPad...

Re : Feature request - clear cache storage

I don't know.  I removed mine and reinstalled, and now it's much better.  I assume it'll grow though.

Re : Feature request - clear cache storage

Could this be a result of the app crashing perhaps? I also had the same issue. Reinstalling it reduced the size. However sometimes pages with an intense amount of images on it can crash the app, is it possible data is retained when this happens?

Re : Feature request - clear cache storage

Hi,

I've made some improvement in cache management. I've used the app as usual, and after 3 days the app only use 8,6 MB (yes, MB, not GB wink)

It probably needs more testing (about a week or two, to be sure), so, if you're interested, send me your Apple ID to testflight the app.

Ok. As soon as the beta app pass Apple validation, you'll receive a mail from Apple to install the beta with testflight.

Re : Feature request - clear cache storage

The app is ready for beta testing. The cache will not be clean for the actual app so you need to remove the curent app first.

Re : Feature request - clear cache storage

I believe that Tiny Reader app will run more smoothly if user know how to clear app cache on iPhone and then clean the caches and cookies at a regular interval. As far as I know, all of the apps and devices have requirements of erase useless data regularly. For example, you are supposed to clear cache on iPhone if your have too much files stored in. After clearing, your iPhone will speed up!
