ios 8.x

Hello,

First, I will say that I really love this app, and with IOS7, I use it each day with no problems.

But, since iOS 8.0, I meet some aleatory disconnections network problem in tiny reader.

I have a 5S. I know that IOS 8,01 and 8,02 had general wireless problem, but it's always the same with IOS 8.1 and tiny reader for my self.

Am I alone to have theses disconnections ? What about you ? Is it Tiny reader or IOS who bug ?

Re : ios 8.x

Well, I'm using my software every days on an iPhone 6 and an iPad Air (both 8.1) and I don't have disconnections (well, except on 3G/4G on the iPhone when using it on when moving).
I've just noticed than since 8.x, my iPad often lost WiFi...

Re : ios 8.x

I've been getting the same error a lot since upgrading to iOS 8. It happens on both my iPad Mini and iPhone 5S, on both cellular and multiple WiFi networks. It even happens when I'm on the same WiFi network as my TT-RSS computer. So it doesn't appear to be device or network related. Screenshot below.

As a thought, maybe this is related?

I'll try disabling keep-alive on the TT-RSS server (lighttpd) and see if that fixes the problem.

Re : ios 8.x

I tried several settings changes on my wireless network. I find a better setting but I already have the same network cut sometimes.

I wanna say that we don't have any pb with all other wireless equipment (android tab, macbook pro yosemite, windows 8.1 computer .. ).. only 5S with iOS 8.X ..

I use tiny reader with a personal synology NAS, it uses apache2.

I think they don't correct anything with IOS 8.1 about wifi. I saw on internet that yosemite had some wireless trouble ( not on my macbook, I feel lucky ).
I don't how apple work, but they always have wifi problems in their different releases. I hope they find the problem and they will corrected it soon.

Have you got some improvements jmacknet ?

Re : ios 8.x

It appears that disabling HTTP keep-alive on the server resolved the issue for me. I have browsed a thousand articles since my last post and haven't seen the error again. Before it was every 5-10 articles.

I disabled keep-alive entirely on my NAS (running lighttpd). You could do the same with apache with "KeepAlive Off" in the apache config file. One post I saw suggested adding the following line to disable keep-alive *just* for iOS clients.

BrowserMatch "iOS 8\." nokeepalive

(I haven't tested that line, so use at your own risk.)

Re : ios 8.x

I tried to connect to my tiny rss server with cellular network through a VPN connection. No network cut !!
Sometimes network seems to be slaw on others applications like clash of clan and so on.

I'm sure there is a bug on wifi on IOS 8.1 for iphone 5S.
I'm waiting 8.1.1 and hope it will correct wireless.
